This post-op Arm Support is made from a soft and flexible, hypoallergenic, polyurethane foam. The foam product has been specifically developed to have very fast recovery characteristics from its compressed storage state. The foam combination of different chemicals ensures this product’s comfort and longevity, and has been individually cut using the CNC programmed laser cut method. This foam product is one that has a ‘spring’ to it, but is still soft. It is designed and moulded into a specific shape to aid recovery. The Arm Support is an L-shaped, grooved cushion, with a wide elasticated hook and loop velcro strap for secure closure preventing the arm from falling out of the cushion. The foam product is covered with a very light and soft, but still durable, skin-friendly cover, which is ultrasonically tape sealed to provide a completely airtight and waterproof devise. A pressure vacuum valve is inserted into the product to create a vacuum, which allows the product to be compressed. This makes the product compact, lightweight and easy to travel with. It can be stored in a small space.

This product can sustain the rubber cycle autoclave procedure, which is ideal for multiple client use. This high-quality medical device is environmental friendly, controls cross infection and makes it easy to apply medication, ice and bandages.
  • Keep the forearm in a secure 90-degree flexion position
  • Reduces pain
  • Supports and protects the affected lower extremity
  • Helps control edema of the hand and arm following surgery or trauma
  • Assists in normal blood circulation
  • Reduces the risk of inflammation and expedites recovery
  • Lightweight
  • Fits nicely in bed
This is a specialised product, which has been scientifically designed for use in the recovery process after numerous arm or hand injuries or surgeries. This product also serves as a shoulder cradle that provides secure immobilisation and a wide range of abduction angles to allow stable and comfortable support – both day and night. Shoulder Cradle is indicated for post-operative immobilisation in 15 degrees of abduction or greater for shoulder hemiarthroplast, total shoulder replacement, shoulder reconstruction, superior labral repair and shoulder debridement. It may also be used for protocols involving stabilisation following fractures to the proximal humerus, elbow and forearm, bankart repair, rotator cuff repair, biceps tendon surgery, shoulder dislocation, elbow ligament and tendon repair.

The product can be used post surgery for the following conditions:
  • Hand surgery/fractures of one or multiple metacarpals
  • Wrist surgery/fractures
  • Wrist open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF)
  • Radial/Ulnar surgery/fractures
  • Any forearm muscle or tendon surgery/reconstruction

The Arm Support can be used for the duration of normal recovery period (4 – 6 weeks) or longer or as prescribed by the patients doctor. It can also be used when the patient’s forearm is in a cast.
