This grooved leg wedge is made form a soft and flexible, hypoallergenic, polyurethane foam. The foam product has been specifically developed to have very fast recovery characteristics from its compressed storage state. The foam combination of different chemicals has allowed this product to ensure comfort and longevity, and has been individually cut using the CNC programmed laser cut method. This foam product is one that has a ‘spring’ to it, but is still soft. It is designed and moulded into a specific shape to aid recovery from below-the-knee injuries or post operatively. The Gradual Incline Leg Wedge consists of a guttered part, which enables elevation. The foam product is covered with a very light and soft, but durable, skin-friendly cover, which is ultrasonically tape sealed to provide a completely airtight and waterproof device. A pressure vacuum valve is inserted into the product to create a vacuum and compress the product. This makes the product compact, lightweight and easy to travel with. It can be stored in a small space.

This product can sustain the rubber cycle autoclave procedure, which is ideal for multiple client use. This high-quality medical device is environmentally friendly, controls cross infection, and makes it easy to apply medication, ice or bandages.
  • Prevention of swelling
  • Assists in normal blood circulation
  • Prevention of pressure sores
  • Keeps the leg straight when bending of the knee is prohibited
  • Reduces the risk of inflammation and expedites recovery
  • Lightweight
  • Fits nicely in bed
This is a specialised product, which has been scientifically designed for use in recovery process from below-the-hip injuries. The Gradual Incline Leg Wedge is designed to elevate the leg in a fully extended position without bending the knee.

The product can be used post surgery for the following conditions:
  • Bunionectomies
  • Metatarsal surgery/fractures
  • Tibial osteotomy/fractures
  • Fibula surgery/fractures
  • Knee, i.e., ACL, MCL, PCL reconstruction
  • Knee replacement
  • Patella surgery/fractures
  • Femur surgery/fractures
  • Or any muscle/ligament surgery/injuries
  • Wound Dressing

The Gradual Incline Leg Wedge can be used in hospital or in the comfort of the patient’s home. It helps reduce lower extremity edema. Elevation of 14 cm in a supine position or seated position helps alleviate lower extremity edema or lower back pain. Elevating the lower extremity will prevent swelling and can be used for the duration of the recovery period (4 – 6 weeks) or as prescribed by the patient’s doctor or home care nursing personnel. It can also be used when the patient’s leg is in a cast.
